Hitmen Ain't Lookin' Good

January 18th, 2008, 9:00 PM PST @ Pan American Park

The Hitmen (0-2) couldn't get anything going offensively with the bats and got wacked by the Cougars (2-0), 24-7. We are in sole-possession of last place and are the only remaining winless team.

Dave is out for the season and so is our shortstop Stevo. Add the fact that this is probably one of the toughest bunch of teams we've ever been bottled up with and you get ain't lookin' good.

Buckle up, this might be a loooooooong season.

Opening Beat Down

January 11th, 2008, 6:30 PM PST @ Pan American Park

The Hitmen opened their season with a whooping by some team filled with a bunch of Mexican ball players. They had some solid hitters. I think the final score was twenty-two to nine (22-9) or something.

There were a couple of big league homeruns served up by the one and only yours truly.

The only highlight for us was Fill-In Kendy hitting a grand slam and me throwing the ball at his arm and giving him a solid bruise. Sucker.

It's bad news if you have one random person filling in and are still playing the game with no second baseman and only three outfielders.

Better luck next time.

As Easy As They Come

January 9th, 2008, 6:00 PM PST @ LA Fitness Hollywood

LegalZoom was handed their sixth straight win with a forfeiture.

The three-peat attempt starts next Wednesday at 7:00 PM against the number four seed Run N' Gun.

We're taking this baby down!

LBC done in Semi's

January 6th, 2008, 4:00 PM PST @ Banning HS

LBC trailed by two at halftime but Lights Out was too big and too good.

Lights Out 62, LBC 49.

A holler to Killer K for driving 30 minutes in the rain on the freeway and playing more than half the game on a possible broken foot.

Family Softball

January 3rd, 2008, 9:00PM PST @ Pan Pacific Rec Center

(3-9) Junk in the Trunk 15
(4-8) LegalZoom 4

LegalZoom's softball last game of the season was a terrible one. Here are the details in a list.

1. Half of my family showed up.
2. Half of the players on our team had last names Nguyen and we couldn't win.
3. Half of the players on our team were all brothers.
4. We had three strikeouts, 2 caught-looking.
5. The other team had a girl and we didn't.
6. The other team had one decent hitter and everyone else was garbage.
7. Our RCF slipped and fell on a routine flyout giving them a 3-run homer.
8. We lost by double digits.
9. We lost to a 2-9 team.

First Game of 2008...Success

January 2nd, 2008, 7:00PM PST @ LA Fitness Hollywood

LegalZoom (6-1) opens the New Year with an easy win over Run N' Guns (3-4). What a boring game to start off two double o eight.
