Postponed.
Here's a message from our manager; he's not happy..
This is a heads-up. We've already forfeited one game this season. If we have to forfeit another one, we are DONE — two forfeits means that the rest of the season is cancelled, I will have to pay (another) forfeit fine, I will lose the rest of the money I paid for registration, and I will not be allowed to register for the following season.
And if THAT happens, this will be the last Hitmen Softball season. I'm not going to go around begging people to show up every week. IF YOU KNOW YOU'RE GOING TO MAKE OTHER ACTIVITIES A PRIORITY, YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE SIGNED UP FOR THE TEAM. Every time you do NOT show up, it means that the rest of the team has to run around and either find people to play for YOU, play shorthanded and lose, or forfeit. I know you all like snowboarding and there are things that happen on Friday nights, but if you fucking sign up for the team, the fucking show up.
All of you knew the games would be on Friday night. I can understand if work or family matters mean you can't show up. I can understand that injuries mean you can't play. I can understand if unexpected things turn up and you're gone for a week. Otherwise, if you made a commitment to show up, I expect you to be a man and show up.
I will not be looking new players for this week, or for any week from now on. If we forfeit one more time this season, we're done forever.

Can't Win For #*(&@$*(#
February 8th, 2008, 6:30 PM PST @ Pan American Park
Forfeit loss to Local Boyz. A big surprise: we didn't have a sufficient number of players.

I was inserted into the leadoff spot and responded by going 1 for 5. This was a winnable game and was definitely our best game of the season. I think the final score was 26-20. We'd probably win if I did some kind of hitting. It might be time to hit up the batting cages.
Holler to Armando (Cabrillo HS Softball Coach) and Big Jacob for filling-in at first and short.
