Hitmen Is Back
May 16th, 2008, 6:30 PM PST @ Joe Rodgers Field
Hitmen' first game ended up in a 10-10 tie after six innings. This was okay because we got home in time to see the Lakers' eliminate the Jazz.
We managed to score 9 runs in the first inning and then see our bats go quietly into the night thereafter. We are very, very fortunate to escape with a tie.
Batted: 3 for 4.
May 17th, 2008, 3:00 PM PST @ Best Fit Gym
Crookedstraight (5-4) played their worst game ever and lost to a terrible opponent, 43-33. There's no way we can ever play worst than this. 33 points?! We have dropped 3 consecutive games!
Other notes: LBC and NotGuilty was off this week.
Other stuff: I went to Sidebar in Glendale twice. Once for a friend's friend's co-worker djaying thing and twice after dinner with the college people.

Birthday Shout Out
I usually don't do anything for my birthday. I don't expect anything and I don't want anything except to see friends and families.
Anyhow, special thanks to..
Esther - first person to wish me happy birthday!
Anne - for calling.
Ken - giving me a call.
Vince - for calling.
Kev - texting and taking me out to lunch at work the next day.
Brian - text message.
Tom - via facebook.
Liliana - via facebook.
Pitou - via email and giving me $40 to bet through his website.
Softball Fellas - got us a blowout victory.
The following 5 people tried really hard to surprise me but failed miserably, hah. They're unbelievable though. Hanh, Tina, Monica, Jennifer, and Bernice lit me a cake in the dark at their apartment in L.A. They also got me a gift to go with it.

Softball Smashing
May 12th, 2008, 9:00 PM PST @ Pan Pacific Park
We are 4-1 and I'm not sure if I can ask for more. Even though our opponents have been garbage, we've been solid.
http://www.laparks.org/dos/sports/softball/spr_sum2008/M-191-8S.pdf
Last night's opposition consisted of 3 chicks and a bunch of nerds. We pretty much told them that they should stick to computers. Except for their second baseman. It was this white chick who had a cannon for an arm. She had a couple assists, gunning out a couple of our baserunners. She was pretty cute too. Solid.

Too Much Basketball Losing
May 10th, 2008, 3:00 PM PST @ San Marino HS
We lost a game where we were up a comfortable 7 points with a minute and change left. We lose by one when the other team scored a layup with 3 seconds left.
May 10th, 2008, 4:00 PM PST @ San Marino HS
Our crookedstraight team suffered another loss at the hand of DKH Sports. I was really angry throughout this entire game. I don't remember being this pissed off in a very long, long time. I fouled out with six minutes left in the game. We had six players.
At halftime, when I was walking across the other team's bench to get some water, one of the fobs on DKH said "what cha looking at." I didn't say anything back. He said it in a way to piss me off and I'm sure that was his intention. I wanted to come out in the 2nd half and just take it to them but it didn't happen that way. We played bad and we lose.
May 11th, 2008, 2:00 PM PST @ Banning HS
LBC got their first win of the season on a forfeit. I didn't even show up. I was at lunch with Momma for Mother's Day. My brother left lunch and went to the game. He forwarded me the forfeit news.

LZ Games
May 5th, 2008, 7:30 PM PST @ Pan Pacific Park
LegalZoom (3-1) is off to its best start in team history, smashing on Hollywood All-Star Monday night, 28-17. Here is the boxscore..
May 7th, 2008, 7:00 PM PST @ LA Fitness Hollywood
I didn't attend this game because I missed work. I heard we played with 4 players: Sean, Troy, L and E. Apparently, we lost by 22 points to the LA Suns..

Huge Upset
May 3th, 2008, 2:00 PM PST @ San Marino HS
We lost by ten points, 70-60. Nothing exciting happened in this game. We were able to cut the lead down to two points in the 2nd half but never got over the hump.

This was a sad game for us. We played against the team that I am on in the earlier 2pm game stated above. I'm not sure how we lost this game but at one point in the first half we were down by as many as 18 points.
The spread coming into this game had to be at least 25 points. We killed these guys by 30 something last time out without even trying.
The lead for them was 9 at halftime and we were able to take the lead with 9 minutes left in the game. From hereon, it was a see-saw battle all the way until the end (I'm not sure why and how, and I was there on the bench watching).
With about 2:45 left in the game, my brother went in for Adrian. He didn't look like he was mad when he was taken out but boy was he heated thereafter. He cussed me out big-time. I didn't say anything back because his wife was there and she's pregnant. Well, that was actually a good thing because a calm, cool person would shut up and let him cool down first.
"Put me back in the fo*kin game."
"We need a ball handler out there."
"We're losing because I'm not out there."
Sure.
It was cool though because he came up to me after the game and told me that he was out of line. Solid.
As for the ending, they managed to hit almost every single free throw down the stretch and escaped with a 2 point win.

LZ SBall Bye Week; LZ BBall Wins
April 30th, 2008, 7:00 PM PST @ LA Fitness Hollywood
LegalZoom (2-0) got their 2nd win of the season against the Bulls (0-1). It was a rematch of last season's championship game. This was a weak game because we played two twelve minute halves. The Bulls showed up late and I could of accepted a forfeit win but I declined. So we waited for them to show up at 7:30 and then whooped them anyway.
LegalZoom 48, Bulls 43.
We were up by 12 with 2 minutes left so it wasn't a close game.
